What should I expect at my first training session with CPGKT
At your first goalkeeper training session, you can expect a comprehensive introduction to the fundamentals of the position. Our experienced coaches will assess your current skill level and tailor drills to help you improve key areas like shot-stopping, positioning, footwork, and handling under pressure. You’ll focus on building confidence and technique through a mix of individual attention and team-based activities. Most importantly, we’ll ensure that you have fun while learning and growing as a goalkeeper. Get ready to challenge yourself and take your game to the next level!
What do I need to bring to my sessions?
For a goalkeeper training session, it’s important to come prepared with the right gear. Here’s a quick checklist of what to bring:
- Mental Focus and a Positive Attitude – A great mindset is key to making the most of your training session!
- Goalkeeper Gloves – Make sure they’re comfortable and fit appropriately.
- Soccer Cleats – For traction and support, essential for fast movement on the field. Your trainer will let you know if you’ll be on turf or firm ground. Prepared players always bring both types of cleats!
- Shin Guards – Even though we don’t specifically require shin guards at all training sessions, protecting your legs is always a good idea. We do ask that athletes wear shin guards and required protective gear to the intensive clinics and sessions with 1v1 training.
- Comfortable Training Apparel – Wear moisture-wicking clothes that allow for free movement.
- Water – Staying hydrated is key to performance and recovery.
Come ready to learn, improve, and have fun!
